We are constantly learning at the Cottage, and during this age of COVID we have been thrown into learning over drive. All the homesteading “to-do” and “to-learn” lists have been expedited and included on that list was “learn to sew”.

The masks are three layers of fabric (unless noted). The outer layers are cotton, and there is a thin layer of silk in between.

 

Why ties and not elastics? The majority of the medical workers we have donated to prefer ties as they are more comfortable to wear for their 8 to 12 hour shifts.
